For as long as I can remember, the thought of people feeling lonely has consumed me. It has sat with me since I was very young – this deep ache for everyone around me to feel seen, to feel wanted, to feel loved.
This poem was born from that place. My hope is that if these words find you in a lonely moment, they remind you that you are seen, you are wanted, and you are so loved.
Much love,
Candy
I Hope You Are So Loved
I hope you are so loved your heart has no more room,
Overflowing with tenderness, genuineness, kindness,
So full, like flowers in bloom.
I hope you are so loved it gently steals your words away,
No more whispers of “I’m lonely,” “Does anyone see me?”
Those words have had their day.
I hope you are so loved it fills your beautiful soul
With laughter, with giddiness,
Like sunrise stories waiting to be retold.
I hope you are so loved that your eyes cannot hold another sight,
Open arms of gentleness, smiles full of warmth,
Wrapped in love’s blanket of delight.
I hope you are so loved that you fall in love with yourself,
Your reflection in the morning,
Laying your head down softly at night’s end,
And all the minutes in between,
So loved by others, So loved by yourself.
Much love,
Candy
