This Is My Family
This is my family — my greatest gift, my ultimate accomplishment.
They are my favorite thing to talk about.
My husband, Don — my partner of almost 30 years — and our two daughters, Sophie (23) and Bella (18).
They lift me up… literally.
They hold my hand when I’m scared.
They hug my neck so tightly sometimes, it’s hard to take a breath.
Their physical love says so much — no words are needed.
But when there are words, they lift me even higher.
Their whispers of encouragement are the stuff dreams are made of.
The love that pours from their hearts and trickles into sentences — it’s the kind of love that belongs in a book.
How did I get so lucky that these three are mine?
It’s God’s greatest gift to me.
The gift of love and being treasured will forever have me thanking Him —
until I take my last breath.
